Trauma Therapy

Trauma can affect far more than memories. It can shape how we experience relationships, emotions, our bodies, and our sense of safety in the world. Many people living with the effects of trauma find themselves caught in patterns of anxiety, emotional overwhelm, numbness, dissociation, chronic self-criticism, or difficulty feeling connected to themselves and others. Even when they understand why they feel this way, lasting change often requires more than insight alone.

I specialize in working with adults and adolescents experiencing the effects of developmental trauma, post-traumatic stress, complex trauma, dissociation, attachment wounds, abuse, panic, and other trauma-related concerns. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s unique history, strengths, and goals.

Rather than relying on a single therapeutic model, I integrate evidence-informed approaches that address both the mind and the nervous system. Depending on your needs, treatment may include EMDR, Somatic Experiencing®, Relational Gestalt Therapy, Yoga Therapy, C-IAYT , attachment-focused psychotherapy, mindfulness, and other experiential interventions. These approaches help clients process difficult experiences while developing greater emotional regulation, resilience, and a renewed sense of safety within themselves.

One of the reasons I expanded my work beyond EMDR alone was my recognition that trauma is often held not only in thoughts and memories, but also in patterns of physiological activation, protective responses, and nervous system dysregulation. Integrating body-oriented therapies allows us to work with these patterns in ways that complement cognitive and emotional processing, supporting more complete and lasting healing.

Because every person’s experience of trauma is different, there is no one-size-fits-all treatment. Together, we will develop an individualized approach that respects your pace, builds on your strengths, and supports meaningful, lasting change.
