Spanish Language Experience
Spanish language and multicultural experience have been an important part of my professional development throughout my career. After learning Spanish through community involvement and extensive exposure to Latin culture, I began utilizing my language skills in clinical settings while completing my graduate training.
Over the years, I have worked with Spanish-speaking individuals and families in a variety of treatment settings, including community mental health, nonprofit clinics, and residential treatment programs. These experiences provided valuable opportunities to conduct therapy in Spanish and to develop a deeper understanding of the cultural, family, and systemic factors that can influence the therapeutic process.
My experience working with Spanish-speaking communities continues to inform my appreciation for culturally responsive care and the importance of understanding each client’s unique background and lived experience.
While I have extensive experience working with Spanish-speaking clients, my current practice is focused on trauma therapy, EMDR, somatic therapy, anxiety, and related specialties, and I am not currently providing psychotherapy services in Spanish.
